On Intuition

Listen
to your silent guide,
that voice inside
your inner world.

Listen
to the inner compass,
guiding you from deep within
through the inner, outer and other worlds.

Listen
to your silent guide
speak truth at the speed of light.
It knows who you are, where you are going and why.

3 ideas + 3 questions on intuition, from me.

Intuition is an essential part of your human nature. Intuition is a way of knowing. Intuition is the capacity to perceive truth outside of time, before it arrives in the physical world. Intuition is insight, wisdom and understanding, encompassing and extending beyond the limitations of knowing born from rational thinking. Intuition is thus a spiritual and not an intellectual capacity, a mystical and not a mental capacity. Intuition is not a practical skill you can use to increase your productivity. Intuition is an impersonal, internal guidance system operated by your inner voice. The silent guide within your inner world, who knows who you are, where you are going and why. The guidance system of intuition operates in multiple dimensions to provide you with guidance at multiple altitudes (e.g. survival, creative and spiritual). Intuition helps you navigate complex situations and aligns your decision making with your deeper values and purpose. Intuition is a basic human function, and a critical part of the evolution of human consciousness, alongside sensing, thinking and feeling.

3 reflections on intuition:

  1. Your intuition is not a gift, it does not make you special.

  2. Your intuition is an essential part of your nature as a human being. It is your capacity to respond to truth at the speed of light.

  3. Intuition is a function that runs on perceiving and sensing and in co-operation with your other functions (i.e. thinking and feeling) and senses (i.e. hearing, seeing, listening etc.).

Listen deeply to your inner guide and ask:

  1. What wants to be born through you and why?

  2. How does your intuition function when you are out of balance?

  3. Where in your body do you sense and perceive intuition?

3 insights on intuition, from others.

Intuition is your capacity to respond to truth at the speed of light.

Carolyn Myss

Intuition is one of the four basic psychological functions along with thinking, feeling and sensing.

Carl Jung

The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you and you don’t know how or why. All great discoveries are made in this way.
