On Needs and Wants
When you let go of
what you want
and what you need
arrives in its place,
and upon reflection, you remark,
what I want is not what I need,
what I need is not what I want,
what you need
is what is here.
What you need
is what is best
for where you are
today.
Rejoice in the arrival of this new offering
for your highest good.

3 ideas + 3 questions on needs and wants, from me.
You may have a considerably large vision for what you want from life. Sometimes you get exactly what you want from your life. Sometimes you get what you want, and you realize it really isn't want you need. Sometime you get what you don’t want, and you realize it’s exactly what you need. Sometimes you get what you both don’t want and didn’t think you need and it is just the thing to help you further refine your vision for a well-lived life.
Be grateful for what you have, every single day.
Be grateful for the challenges that show up in your life, especially those ones that help you get clearer on what you actually want and need in your life.
Figure out what you want and need and write it down. Get it out of your head, as quickly as possible, so it doesn’t become something you fixate upon endlessly.
In your inquiry of needs and wants:
If you are honest with yourself, how many of the things you want do you actually need?
Do you ever spend too much time thinking about something you want that you can’t have, what do you do to let go of it?
What essential needs do you go out of your way to ensure you never have and why?
3 insights on needs and wants, from others.
You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.
Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don't want to impress people they don't like.
The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money.
